    not printing test page....

FS-3640...it was working fine one day...suddenly it will not print (it will produce a copy from the platten)...we can ping it and send a job to it...we can see the job hit the queue, says printing and then disappears from the queue...but it does not spit out the test sheet...nobody has confessed to doing anything to the machine or web page...any thoughts?

    Re: not printing test page....

Try to unplug the network cable from the Kyocera and ping that same IP address. I wonder if another device on the network has the same IP and that's where the print job is being sent to.

Also, do they have job accounting enabled? If the wrong job accounting code is bring sent to the Kyocera and error job skip is enabled, it will show an error for a bit on the printer but then delete the job after a short time making it seem like nothing happened. Make sure the job accounting code is input into their print driver. Too Often when I input the job accounting code into the print driver, it doesn't save. Sometimes I have to uninstall and reinstall the print driver for it to stick.

Had a similar issue on a Konica the customer had 2 print drivers set for the same IP of the copier. The job would send as if going to print ,the data light on the copier would show then nothing. Had to delete the other driver.

Sounds like a conflicting IP address. Maybe be printing on another device, or another PC's IP address and gets released???

Have you tried resetting the machine via system menu (or command center for that matter)?
