FS-3640MFP calibrating scanner
Hello,
I have a problem with two FS-3640MFP copiers scanning black areas in a dark green tone.
I used U411 adjusting the scanner automatically with the original charts
(302FZ56990 for table and 303LJ57010 for DP) it sais "ok" but doesnt help.
Colors are still too green. Firmware is from 20140508. I hope somebody can help me.
I added a PDF of a scanned 302FZ56990 chart so you can see the problem.

Is is the same issue from dp and from the glass? Have you cleaned optical section and glasses? If nothing helps you will have to replace the entire ISU and it ain't cheap on those.

Hi Kyo fan and thanks for your answer.
I have cleaned all the mirrors and glasses before doing calibation, because the scans were quite grey and the wipe was clearly dirty after that. After calibrating it went to green. Yes, the problem also exists when scanning from the dp. Isnt there a way in the service menu to change colors manual?

Re: FS-3640MFP calibrating scanner
Hi
I don't want to question your abilities but you may want to double check 411 and 425 . The adj is a little tricky and if not followed exactly as outlined adjustments will not take. Took me a couple of tries and rereads before I got it right.
Cheers.

Re: FS-3640MFP calibrating scanner
Did you enter the target values in sim 425 from the test chart you are using before running sim 411? If the target values listed on the test chart are not entered prior the to running auto adjustment sim 411 the results will be off.

Re: FS-3640MFP calibrating scanner
Yes I did enter the target adjust numbers into U425.
(And I just double checked them to be sure)
Changing the scanner from another machine also didnt help much.
Its slightly darker since I changed the scanner, but its still not black.
