ticking sound fs-4300 and Ecosys M3550idn

    Hi guys,

If the standard cassette is filled with paper the paper lifts and ticking sound is heard.
When the cassette is filled with < 200 sheets there is no sound.

I already replaced : liftmotor + gears in the machine + gears cassette.
    feedholder + spring .

but the problem is still there.

    I have this problem on a fs4300 and a M3550idn

    I appreciate every suggestion.

Good news is you can use the CT-3100 instead of the CT-3130. I have confirmed this. The tray pops up and doesn't require the lift mechanism. Although you do need to modify the tray slightly, by nipping off a small extra piece of plastic on the left side of the cassette or it wont close.

      hi,

replace the 302lv02042 the cassette right guide,
sometimes this axe breaks inside this frame and can cause ticking noise when paper is loaded.
      have fun.

What he said. It's a fun replacement the first time, but it's the only real solution imho.
