Kyocera KM-2560 Faint Prints and Copies

    Hi everyone,

Having an issue with the above machine. All copies and prints come out faint particularly on the leading edge to about an inch in. The rest is great but better.
It looks like a transfer roller/grounding issue.
I have replaced transfer roller, drum and charge, dev unit and laser unit. Checked the grounding connections, tried another middle conveying section just in case I was missing something. Firmware is up to date and we only use OEM Toner. Here are a few samples of the prints below.

If anyone has seen this before I'd appreciate any suggestions, I running out of ideas.

    Thanks

Check your primary charge contact on the inner rear frame. Very common on the Stratos, the contact will start to arc, If you change the primary it may resolve for a short time but then comes back. If it's burnt, use a spring hook to reach behind the contact to hold it out while you're using one of those small diamond files to file off the burnt areas. Be careful not to overbend the contact. Also file the contact on the primary charge.

Also the drum ground is received through the drum drive coupler. The coupler on the back of the drum unit can become sticky with heavy black grease. Clean the coupler where it joins the shaft and lubricate with light oil.

Maybe this is unrelated, but I've see the transfer bushings break, or the contact spring missing. Any one of these things can create your quality issue.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Thanks blackcat for tips, I have checked those areas but I was unaware of the grounding through the drum drive coupler. I will check this out
