TASKalfa 5052ci faint yellow only.

Morning all,

We are currently having a issue with a UTAX 5006ci (TASKalfa 5052ci) which is printing faint yellow, it is there, but only just, the other colours are fine. So far on recommendation from UTAX we have tried a yellow dev, main high voltage board and a transfer belt, all of which made no difference, we swapped the drum with another from the machine, no change. We have sent off all the internal reports to UTAX who have said everything including toner density settings etc are all fine. The dev is turning, its getting toner into the unit, im sure its not a toner supply issue. The machine has only been in since August and has done 42k colour and 21k black, the customer understandly is getting a bit peeved.

I would post a scan but I think it would struggle to pick up the yellow it`s that faint.

Anyone out there had any similar issues? any advice appreciated as we are going round in circles.

Try changing the media type to thick paper...

Check the contacts for the transfer belt. Each color has it's own contact for the transfer roller for that color.
