    Kyocera 6500i tray lift error

I am working on a Kyocera 6500i that keeps lifting tray 1 and 2 to a point where the sensor flag in the back of the tray will snap in half. I have changed out the engine board, main board, paper feed board 1 and 2, and both feed units. Nothing has worked, C1010 has popped maybe twice on this machine but normally it will say error on tray 1 remove paper and the same thing for tray 2

Have replaced the photo interrupters? Or lift motors?

What's their I/O state like in service!?

    Firmware re-flashing?

Re: Kyocera 6500i tray lift error

Figured out what the issue was. Somehow the feed units were swapped in the eyes of the machine so tray 1's feed unit would stop tray 2 and vice versa. I swapped the plugs from the feed units to the relay so they weren't crossed any more.

    Good catch.

I would have suggested using sim U031 and triggering each tray sensor with your finger to determine if they respond. That might have helped you corner this problem. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
