    CS 255

2017-12-06 085725.PDFWe have a Copystar CS255 and its printing fine except when you make copies. When making copies the page prints out all black, however sending a document to print from your computer the print is perfect its just scanning.
We have almost 40G pages scanned and a total of 110,000 printed

Check the scanner lock lever at the rear left side.

It's very easy to lock the scanner. I've done it without even knowing I've done it. All you have to do is grab the machine at the left rear corner, to move it.

What usually happens is that the scanner lock prevents the scanner from reaching the slit glass. It can still copy from the glass, but not through the DP.

    Check the scanner lock. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Then it might be a defective main board.
