    Fs2100d squeeking high pitched noise...

I heard the noise in the fuser section in an fs2100d printer...
I replaced the fuser... the noise was still there...
I took out the fuser... and tried to grease the spot where the gearbox peaks out of the machine body... where the gear teeth stick out... that meet the gears on the fuser...
I greased the gears on the side of the fuser... I did not dissassemble the fuser or remove any gears from fuser or go very deep with greasing the fuser...
I applied some grease to the long silver rods ends that sits under the drum/developer unit...
I also greased the springs on the ends of the silver roller....
I now have a noise... it does not occur as often... but its a high pitched... noise...

my next step is to take the machine to the office and disassemble and grease the gearbox...
and also try to disassemble and grease the fuser thoroughly... even the ends of the fuser...

but I checked the service bulletins and found
fuser noise section bulletin 2LV-0082 (G103)
power fan noise bulletin 2LV-0063 (F140)
    folded corners noise bulletin E126-2LV-0040
    drum noise 2LV-0061 (F103)

    what I am checking is...
Is there anyone who has dealt with this issue before... ???
no image problems... no jams... just a high pitched sqeeky noise that sounds like its coming from the fuser
and if so... how do you fix this...???
am I on the right track???
is this overkill what I intend to do???

    Just trying to be efficient...

thanks for any help you guys offer...

I have had many chirps from the back door. There's white ilders buried in there. Just a thought, yours sounds a little more problematic.

Well in the 4200 I’ve found lots of squeaks from the little back plastic rollers on the rear door (6 of them in all) a tiny (very tiny) drop of oil were they touch the metal axel seems to take care of it.

Also check the transfer roller, a little dry graphite powder seems to lubricate it good

Re: Fs2100d squeeking high pitched noise...

    issue resolved...
customer uses mp tray... there are white rollers that sit behind the bypass feed roller and when you look underneath there are also white rollers in the paper path from the tray... up the slot... these have to be greased...

main take away... focus on area customer uses the most and go from there... barring greases exit white or black plastic rollers in paper path by fuser and/or above fuser...

Thanks for sharing your conclusions. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
