Checked SM and says machine machine number mismatch between main PCB and engine PCB. Has anyone run across this before? Please advise as don't have boards in stock to test.
Your help is appreciated very much. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

Thanks Bisquires. I had tred getting into mode with1087 1087 but screen did not change.
Did you remember to move the EEProm from the old board to the new one? Whichever board you changed [main board or engine board] when you went to sim 04 did you select the serial number of the board you did not change and press start then scroll down to execute? Never had a unit that we changed either the main board or the engine board that we could not update the serial number. If you failed to move the EEprom sim 04 is not going to help you.
i did not change board Customer asked that I service his Copysar machine while I was there to repair Xerox. I turned machine on and saw
the error code C0180. I will ask customer who worked on machine last and what was done and when he remembers first getting C0180 code.
As I mentioned , I was unable to access simulation mode as screen did not change when I pressed 1087 1087. Frank
Frank, good chance to lean for an upgrade (afterall parts discontinued). This model was red-headed stepchild of Kyocera. Many issues due to poor design
But, try simulation with door open after power-up so machine doesn't have a chance to error out. Also, Kyocera can be finnicky may have to put in 1087 multiple times

Thanks JR. I don't see this customer upgrading. He has a Xerox 220DC which is very old but also has a Ricoh MPC2000.
