    Kyocera 2100 Reg gears skipping.

This machine has a clicking sound and registration issues..
I trouble shot it to the helical gears on the ends of the reg roller shafts, they ride up and skip a tooth.
    New gears didn't help.
I think it needs more spring pressure under the lower roller.
    Maybe a bulletin on this?
    TIA

Re: Kyocera 2100 Reg gears skipping.

The plastic bushings on the registration drive oval out, until the gears begin to skip. And the developer drive clutch and registration clutch rust out and slip. The difficulty here is that you can order the clutches, but you can't order the bushings. They are not a separate part, or part of any assembly.

Since the machine was already down anyway, I took two bushings and matched them from my gallon size bucket-O-bushings. I had a dozen matches based on size, then selected the oil impregnated bronze bushings for longevity. It takes (4) bushings. About a month later I replaced the pickup drive assembly for an entirely separate jamming issue. 1.2M prints. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
