Code 6940 IH FAN MOTOR TASKalfa 5500i

    Greeting of the season all.
I am just trying to confirm that Part number 302K994360 as noted in Rev. 4 of the 5500i parts manual is indeed the IH fan motor.
    Page 48 and 49.
As with most Kyocera part manuals it doesn't provide the actual name of the motor although in talking with Kyocera support some models do.
I did the U037 to test the fans but no activity with the IH Fan. Also the standard Firmware Update as per normal.

If anyone could confirm the part number that would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ed

    Yes, that's it.

I've never seen one of those completely fail, but it's certainly possibly. Are you getting 24vdc to the fan connector?

Most often you'll just find them packed with dryer lint. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Thanks Blackcat.
I am getting the voltage but no fan movement.
I did order one up today and will report the outcome.
Usually takes 10 business days to get.
Machine is almost seven years old.
    Regards

Indeed the new motor resolved the issue. The original was in very poor condition.
By the way since this problem I had another machine with the same code, As the environment was much better a can of air solved the problem.
Thanks for all who viewed, hope it helps someone else.
    Regards
