TA 3050ci - Cyan only imaging issues

    Going Crazy!!

Only happens with Cyan. Replaced DV and DR units and still does it. Cleaned charge rollers and replaced charge rollers and still does it. I'm reading that maybe a DV issue?? Please see attached file for what I am talking about.

In prints and copies - first 5, looks great. Afterwards, Cyan Streaks - Ahhhh!!doc00498920180108105842.pdf
Manual Doesn't help with this issue - Unless I'm blind....??

If the interval is 37.5mm it's primary charge. Perhaps your primary roller is not inserted completely or has a flat spot? Try swapping the primary with magenta and see what happens. You'll want MC-8720. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Check the drum gound for Cyan on the toner hopper unit on the front of the machine. Usually problems that occur after a period of time are due to not being able to discharge voltage to ground properly.
    Hope that helps !

I swapped out the charge roller with Yellow. Still the same.
And about the new charge rollers, yes, I have seen them for the 7551ci.... IT'S ABOUT DAM TIME!!!

I will check that out. That makes sense...
And that is inside the toner hopper? Yes?

    Hello ,
I already had an identical problem.
on 20 copies the first ok after the background goes up.
    it was the transfer belt.
    to test.
    Do not lament,
    do not mock,
    do not hate,
    but understand.

This is what tmaged is talking about. When you see rust like this on the primary charge handle you know you're looking in the right place:

    drum ground rusting.JPG

It's very common for some techs to wipe off the black grease because it gets on your hands, but it really needs to be there. Apply the black conductive grease to the tips of all four drum shafts. The actual drum ground contact is in the toner hopper assy in the front:

Nope. Didn't see that. However, I did check the Transfer belt and noticed that the cleaning unit discharge roller was peeling. So I replaced that and it came back. Just replaced the cyan dv/drum unit and waiting to hear if that was it. I've seen this before where the DV unit starts to act up. Its been a year since it has been replaced. So, we replaced it. Just waiting to see if I can close out the call. Thanks for all the help with this. You guys are awesome!!
