    installation of taskalfa 6002i

Hi just received this new machine... Did unlocked the scanner and fitted adf, toner cartridge and switched on machine. Is there any setting or simulation that you need to run to initialize the dev unit because after it does it on its own ,I am getting blank copies.Anything special about initial setup on these new models? Any suggestion is most welcome. After checking the dev unit seems to be not turning at all.
failure is not an option !

For setup follow steps in service manual. As for blank copies reinsert and lock D.V. unit .

Agree with Luther. You have to READ CAREFULLY INSTALLATION GUIDE and FOLLOW SEQUENCES AND PROCEDURES. Once - you've done that - there will be no headaches. I have had problems with previous machines, when guys started to use machine just from the box after assemble it (but that was color TASKalfa 3050ci) and they damaged 4 dev units there - without any chance to recover it by Kyocera warranty. And yeah, - if you install this machine just by yourself without involving kyocera tech - you may loose warranty. Need to check that and ask questions to your reseller.
And if you OK with that and self-confident, you will need latest revision of service manual and probably latest firmware.
You can do it, just need some time for it. Good luck!

the new developers have the stupid grey button on the front to engage the roller toward the drum. they can pop out during machine transport, and we have also had a handful of damaged developers where the button will not stay engaged, or only stays partially engaged due to breakage of the plastic tab. It's happening on some of the new color machines as well.

Stupid grey push buttons pop out by themselves on smaller color units generating service calls.
