    kn 6525 adf misfeeds

    Greetings,

I have a machine that intermittently(dont you love those int probs?) misfeeds when doing 2 side to 2 side in the ADF. I have not seen any crumpling of the paper but I have seent the misfeeding when one stops at the exit of the ADF. I have contacted Kyocera and they were not conclusive on the issue. the error code is 9004 and 9110. Any one experience this issue? thanks Ray.

Can't say I've ever heard of a Kn 6525. A European box, is it?

We have had a couple of FS-6525's with this problem, it is always on the gate fingers on the backside of the ADF in the duplex switchback. Tore the first one apart to replace the gate and the associated drive parts-no fun! Could not see any obvious defects. Ran at least a thousand pages through it in Sim 203 before returning it to the customer [had installed a service loaner as there was no room to tear the ADF apart on location], two days later had the same problem. Wound up replacing the ADF to correct. We initially thought that the offending finger group had a crack in it allowing it to randomly slip. However when we got it removed there were no cracks and it was as tight on the shaft as the other finger groups. As of yet we have not been able to determine the root cause.
