If it's "Time for Maintenance T", run MM906 and update the firmware.

There is another possibility. If you've got the original firmware, it's possible that you're getting a message "Time For Maintenance" (not "Time For Maintenance T" which is a different thing).

The "Time For Maintenance T" message is a fault of not setting the installation date at install. Simply setting a later installation date and doing a U906 Partial Reset will solve that condition.

The "Time For Maintenance" message when no maintenance is due is a firmware image. In the initial firmware there was a Maintenance D condition that the Kyocera nixed at the last minute. It does not appear in U250 or U251 screens, but hides there in a deeper level of programming. Update the firmware and run the U906 Partial Reset to solve this message.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Question, how do you set a later installation date on machine?

    Hi Blackcat

I curious...How and where did you learn about "Maintenance D" and that it was in "a deeper level of programming." ?

    Thanks

Re: Kyocera 4500i PM message with 100k on machine

The bug occurred in original firmware version 3.02. The fix is noted in the firmware bulletin for version 5.02.

It probably wasn't worded that way. That's just how I remembered it in my 2 remaining memory brain cells.
Upon checking the database, there was both a Maintenance D and a Maintenance E that got nixed.
