Has anyone used this mode to reduce curling... if so... can you walk me through... basic setting changes...

also has any firmware update been introduced to help with this issue...

I know there are tray heaters... but just want to cover all the basis before I get involved with that...

as always any help is appreciated...

Paper curling is usually relate to cheap paper. brand X paper etc.....
High speed copiers need good paper. Have them buy staples or office depot paper a name brand paper is better Ie Hammermill

Also copier needs to be in A/C or heated room. If it's on an outside warehouse or garage nothing will help.

check the sim believe it already has paper tray heaters but default setting is off

Changing the fuser temps to correct for curling would not be the way I would go. Turn on the tray heaters if they are not already on. What type of paper are they using? We have had several users in the last few months go to a recycled paper that would randomly jam. Upon close observation we discovered that one out of a hundred, a hundred and fifty sheets would curl so much that it would miss the guide fingers right after the fuser! Can't blame the unit if the paper curls so much that it misses the guide fingers an inch away. Proved it the customers by bringing in a cheap ream of WB Mason paper and running hundreds of pages without a jam, put their paper back in and it would jam. Reducing fuser temps to try and limit the curl will only lead to other issues.
