Re: Kyocera Buying Ricoh production machines

Our Kyocera tech rep confirmed it and he is going for two week training at ricoh in a couple weeks.
I think he said Atlanta but i dont remember.
he also confirmed the high speed inkjet.
ricoh and the inkjet will be at the kyocera shown in April I think Florida

Re: Kyocera Buying Ricoh production machines

I work on both the ricoh production ProC7110 and the full line Kyocera's,if the placement is right the Ricoh Pro's do a good job other than the booklet finisher I'm told,The problem is design wise Kyocera and Ricoh are pretty far apart and the Maintenance procedure etc. on the Ricoh is kind of old school Unit rebuild type thinking whereas the Kyocera is Unit replacement centered for the most part.Ricoh allows a "skilled" customer into some of the tech settings area for adjustment by the key op,not good if you ask me,also Ricoh has a TCRU program that allows customers to replace parts themselves,Drums,Drum and Transfer belt cleaning unit, fuser, etc.,also not good if you ask me,but the registration and copy quality on these machines is pretty good, registration is so spot on that Ricoh actually suggests running copies back through to add an extra layer of white or clear toner to make them more solid. The best thing you caqn do is stress the importance to the customer of using the paper library correctly when loading different brands and stocks of paper,if they do paper problems and copy quality problems will be minimal.

I would be very surprised that is 100% true, given that to the best of my knowledge , Kyocera has Zero experience and knowledge base with inkjet engines , especially high speed ones.
