KM-3035 1st tray ghost paper jam

I have a km-3035 with the remove paper from behind drawer screen. Remived both trays, nothing there, press switch lift motors dead. No C1010 codes. Did U906 and got the bottom tray to work, but top tray still says remove paper from behind.
Put different lift motor, did U906 again, same issue.
New paper feed units, cassette trays had no effect.
Is main board shot? Machine kaput?

There could be tiny little pieces of paper stuck in the connector. It happens and is very hard to see sometimes. You have to pick them out with a toothpick or needle. If not, then yes, it is probably the main board. I have hade to replace a couple for this problem.

Yes, took out the black connector, cleaned it with air. Same thing.
Luckily swapping main boards is easy on these machines, unlike the 4050/5050....

I agree with the cassette connectors look in them with a flash light and if see any other color than paper is jammed in there. if happens enough then have to replace connectors cause they wont make connection

A shorted lift motor can take out the control circuitry on the engine board. I've seen this on all the Falcons.

Typically what happens is that the tech swaps tray #1 and tray #2 lift motor to diagnose the problem, then neither tray lifts because both control circuits are blown. At that point you don't really know which lift motor is shorted, so the best bet is to replace both lift motors and the engine board as a set. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Ok. I left the bottom motor since it was working after the u906, and put a new motor on tray 1, and nothing. I am going to get another main board and motor (from good donor machine) and swap them.
    Thanks for the help.
