At second cassete "----------" appears. When i select this cassete message " paper cassete is out of order"
I removed cassete and there was a piece of paper . I removed it but the problem remains.
The other cassete works fine.

yes, it's a malfunction reset you'll see it when you get there execute it then turn the machine off and on again---- if you don't see it in 906 look at 960 it's been a while pretty sure it's 906 GOOD LUCK
After you removed the sheet of paper did you check to see if the connector at the back of the machine for that cassette did no have a paper shard jammed into the connector? If 906 did not restore the cassette I would suspect that there are paper fragments in the connector preventing the unit from recognizing the paper cassette as having paper. If there is no paper fragments in the connector you may have to replace the connector at the back of the unit that detects the presence of the drawer and the paper. Replacing the connector is not common, but if the paper shreds have been driven into the connector by repeated operator opening and closing the drawer it may be the only option as you will not be able to get the paper shards out restoring connectivity to the paper drawer sensors.
Check lift motor also, have replaced many over the years.....
