M2535dn Grinding noise but still working

Had a customer call will a M2535dn sounded find when they left the office. When they came back machine was making a grinding noise but working fine. Sounded like it was coming from the fuser area. Found Gear Z44R 302HS31180 on right side of machine behind the main motor broken.( Gear flopping around on shaft).
This gear is the same on the FS-1128 through the M2535dn.
Hope this saves someone some time.
    Good luck.

QA G246 also refers to a cause of a noise. there is a ground screw on the machine right side that is too long from the factory. They shortened the screw in the QA.

Good to know about the cracked gear, hopefully this helps someone out as well.
If you phrase your inquiry properly, you will get the answers you seek...

Good Luck ... You'll need it! HAHAHA!

There is also a QA on this issue. Look at QA F031.
