    KM-5050 J61 When Duplexing

Have a KM-5050 that is giving constant J61's. Already replaced the entire switchback section, and the Duplex Clutch. Page will come out the Center of machine about 3-5 Inches and stop. Remove Jam, restart, and the machine will do the same thing. All switches/Sensors appear to be working in SIM 031/030.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Is it looking for longer than 8 1/2 x 11 paper?
I know what I know better than anyone else knows what I know.

Same here... only gives J-61 when using LCF... will do single side all day. My only solution so far is a note on the copier *PLEASE USE TRAY 1 WHEN DUPLEXING*
The original post here is a year old, someone musta figured this problem out by now...I can't spend more hours in that customers office. Service manager getting suspicious, and that woman is NOT MY TYPE!

i use to have these kind of problems on the falcon II's but it was the one way bearing in the switchback section not allowing the paper to be feed back in for 2nd side printing.

    Large Capacity

Yes, but again it ONLY jams when using the LARGE CAPACITY FEEDER when duplexing. Tray 1 and 2 work fine...
And yes I installed the thick mylar spacer update for the sensor, and firmware.
BTW, it will do up to 3 without a jam, but 4 or more will jam.

    PF 750 Duplex jams j-61

KM 5050 with PF 750 only jams when duplexing. J-61 jam code. Trays 1 and 2 will duplex all day long. Only gets J-61 duplex jams when feeding from the PF 750 LCC unit.
Have done firmware update, and replaced:
    On 5050:
    Duplex unit
    Exit unit
all 3 convey switches (with mylar backing)
"stretched" the springs in duplex and side door.
    In PF 750 replaced:
    drive motor
    all paper feed tires
    one way bearing
    one way shaft
    all clutches
    checked connectors thru entire system
the tray hook is not cracked

Any and all help greatly appreciated.
The system can run 1 to 4 duplex ok, but usually jams after the 5th.
sometimes will run up to 20 before jamming.

Don't know if it will help at all but I know that the 30/40/5050's LCT are notorious for the paper feed tray having clips that break and cause a variety of issues, such as skewed paper through the paper path.
    Just a thought...
