    FS-C8525MFP, massive voids with K

I barely know how to switch this machine on since I'm a KonicaMinolta guy. FS-C8525MFP has around 140K mono and 40K color on the clock. Suddenly this morning there where massive voids when using K, front to rear across the feeding direction. Color is more or less OK. When I was there now almost no image when using K, print is mostly complete without an image. The mag roller is complete without toner/developer. What can have happened? No developer unit drive? Broken gear, clutch failure? Does this machine is a 2-component developer +toner or toner only system?

more than likely its the developer unit but at 140 k for black there is a maint kit to be replaced at 200k. dual component for developer, I would replace drum and developer and if you are using generic toner, you are screwed. I would start at drum and developer[

    - Done nothing except looking at the mag roller finding a clean roller without any traces of toner.
    - Scan attached
    - Voids are very fuzzy.

    Thanks

It's the developer unit K. Replace it.

OK, will do, thanks. Does it require a special set up?

Still wondering why - within a few prints - it completely fails. My experience with other brands is that prints gradually deteriorate before its fails finally.

There are destructions in the box. It will do the developer stir by itself as long as you power off before doing the swap. The color calibration is pretty basic on this model. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

From memory these little beasts have a K dev drive clutch on the back of the main gearbox, 302K094320 - PARTS CLUTCH 50 Z45L SP

We had lots of them go on the 8020 - 8025's

Very easy to get to with a small clipped cover over it.

    Could be the problem.

Thanks, besides that the developing unit will be over the end of its life ofcourse, I could very well imagine that the clutch has a failure based on the effect on the prints coming out .

Any of you guys having the parts manual for me please? The tech manual I have already.
