Does anyone have a field solution (read MacGuyver) for this situation? Had I thought of it at the time, I might have tried smearing some silicone tub & tile sealant onto the outer surface of the heater sleeve, gluing the sleeve to the cap. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Why can't manufacturers admit the whole advanced fusing system is an abject failure. Induction, belts, retraction motors... blah blah blah. All for what? Energy star rating? No press roller flat spots?
Give me the old fashion Falcon fusers any day.
Kyocera will replace any unit under warranty if it fails before life so no need to try & repair, they will modify the fuser if it becomes a common/known issue.

***BWAHAHAHA Well frankly this is why a Site like this is so valuable to us techs. PHONE Support with the manufactures "Techs" is shaky at best with some. !st levels HATE turning over a call to 2nd+ levels.

with just about anything today...
EPA Regs... Taxes... Reputation.... M O N E Y ! bottom line is a manufacturer has to be SPOTLIGHTED in the PUBLIC forums ( for the most part ) about the failures of their product. Otherwise we will have to resort to CTN or others like it. BUT I would trust SOME techs here over the Phone guys!
Then and ONLY then will changes be made.

every thing said about these fusers are correct. I have about 50 6052ci mfps split over two sites. Every single one has been replaced under warranty, due to the wearing of the belt at the front and back. THEY ARE AWFUL.
