    Pop3 setup

Okay, I have a customer with a taskalfa 4501i and they want to be able to send emails to the MFP and have them print out. I’m lost af as to the correct settings to make this happen. Any pearls of wisdom out there?

    Thanks.

I would think that opening the email in Outlook or Thunderbird, then clicking on the "Print" icon in that email would accomplish this, don't you?

...For the record, I've NEVER seen anyone that wanted their copier to directly receive and print out emails.

I haven’t, either but that’s what they want. I think it’s mainly for people outside of the company to directly send and print the email, perhaps an attempt at automating the process of printing a report.

Crazy, I know. This is a first for me (and a lot of people, I suspect)

I had a customer who I set this up for.

Pretty simple just enter the POP settings just like you would with SMTP (sending email)

Most manufacturers offer a "Mobile Printing" app of some sort. I would suggest using that ...but the client wants what the client wants I guess.

    Problem will come with attachments
you will have to buy a third party software in order to download and print attachments.

Funny you should mention that. It seems that attachments are printing perfectly. It’s the email body that doesn’t print.
