Taskalfa 3050CI - Error F245

Hi,

i get an Error F245 when power-up a Taskalfa 3050CI, the error-code is not mentioned in the Service Manual.
I detached the network cable because comeone mentioned that it could happen with faulty print jobs, but no change.

Any ideas ?

On the newer mach under appendixes you can find the f-codes. this is what it says about the f24x.
so with that being said a lot of time it is a print error of some kind. be sure to shut the mach down completely and disconnect the nic cable, then turn it back on. it sounds like u already did this but u want to make sure u flush the copier que before u go to far. If its ok until u plug the nic in then u have print problem with a file or driver or something along that line (that is a whole other topic on how to correct). next i would get a blank usb and export all data in sim 917 before formatting the hdd and initializing the memory. run all reports and make note of any short cuts. you can try cleaning the contacts on the dimms and reseat connectors for hdd.

F24X	An error is detected at the System management section	1) Check contact of the DDR memory and check function. 2) Format the HDD and check function. (U024 FULL formatting) 3) Execute the U021 Memory initializing to initialize the controller backup memory and check function. 4) Replace the main board and check function. 5) Replace the HDD and check function. 6) Retrieve the USBLOG and contact the Service Administrative Division.	*The F248 eror is printer process error. if it repeats with a certain print data, retrieve the capture data and USBLOG.	[DDR2 memory contact check] Main board:YS1 or YS2 A certain part of the memory be faulty. The frequency of failure occurrence is dependent on the frequency of access to the faulty bit. The ASIC may be faulty if the memory is not sensitive.

Another thing to try is to turn the machine off, restart every PC, then turn the machine back on.... this way the print job is cleared from the network and the machine will be responsive.

If this happens again, flash FW & update drivers.

Kyocera's latest Firmware has the fix for this particular error code, among others. Also make sure KX drivers are up to date.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your replys, unfortunately the machine goes directly to the error message while starting up without a network cable attached.
The "Welcome" Screen comes up, than there is a Screen with black stripes for a second and then the Eroror comes up.

In this state it is not possible to access the Maintenance Mode anymore.

Am i correct that normaly when the machine starts up at this point it backup the firmeware from the hdd ?

Dear,
1.first upload the firmware to the latest...
2.If you have another TA3050ci interchange the DIMM and test
3.Remove all connectors from Main PWB then connect one by one. switch off/on every time when you connect a new connector
4.If none of the above did not helped then change the MAIN PWB...

The error seems to be caused by a defective 16 MB DIMM Modul from the Fax System V.

Hopefully the machine runs some more 100.000s
