    Ram disk error

Hi techs, can anyone remember what the the fix was for the "ram disk full" error. The machine is a M3040mfp
eror is: "only one copy was printed while more than one copy was registered"
" RAM disk was full or not activated or ssd was full or not activated"

besides the obvious to increase ram disk is there anything i can try on printer or driver side

    Re: Ram disk error

    1: update driver
    2: try spooler setting on/off
3: try ram disk setting on/off combinations in driver and machine.
That's my usual routine for this type of call

Per chance did a user do a private print and forget how to get it to print out? A private print job will remain in memory until it is released at the machine by the user with the Pin code and eats up the ram disk memory. Open up the document box and see if there are any private print jobs being held. If you do and cannot identify the user and the machine is printing through a print server, you may have to have their IT person delete the job on the server and then just power down and restart the machine [normally just turning the power off and restarting will clear the file] in our case about a year ago the server never saw the file printed so it kept it in the queue and powering down to flush the ram disk only caused the server to resend the file to the machine creating the problem all over again. Let us know how you make out.
