    printing from linux environment

    Hi all, would any of you Linux users know if there is a way to set a P4040dn to print rotated portrait, i know you can do it through windows driver but it looks like you cant set it as default from printer menu

    Are you looking to make this the default setting? If so you can open your prescribe manual and send it the code to make this the default. If you are trying to do this on an individual job basis you would have to create a profile that would send the appropriate prescribe command prior to printing and the user would have to select the profile prior to printing. CUP"S drivers are fairly generic.

    You can try using CUPS. Using a web browser enter ipaddressofprinter:631 into the address field and go from there.
