    Question CS 2552ci C6600 CODE

Have taken out the fuser, fuser looks good. Code resets but comes back after a while. Tried latest firmware today didnt fix it. Anyone else have this issue? Going to try tech support tomorrow. Thank you in advance.

It nay look good, but the thermistor or fuse might be bad giving you a code even though you reset the error. Fix it, then reset.

We have not had this issue, but the C6600 relates to the machine not seeing the fuser belt rotating for 1.8 seconds. That would indicate that the fuser is binding up and not reaching the rotation speed expected by the machine. Since Kyo only sells the fuser assembly and not any of the internal parts, you will probably have to replace the whole fuser assembly which would be covered under the warranty.

On these you can grab the bushings on either end of the fuser roller and if you can turn them separately the fuser is bad.

If the fuser doesn’t do the trick, look for the fuser motor all the way at the top left of the backside of the machine. On 3051 series, it’s literally right under the tip top left corner.
