FS 1135 Copies are slightly faded

I bought 12 of these machines with under 10K on each. On everyone of them the copies aren't sharp and greyish. Not real bad but I am not sure I want to sell them that way. Been trying to make the copies darker but out of ideas... I cleaned out the developer housings metering blade etc. Changed the drum. Cleaned the laser lens. Took transfer roller out and cleaned. Looked through service mode for any adjustments. No change other than the copies get slightly better the more I run. Thinking the just need to be used and it may clear up. Sure would welcome any ideas.....

I usually vacuum the developer thru the two covers, and then run it with a new toner.

So just to clarify, is it just the copies that are faded, or are internals faded as well?

Based on my young experience if just the copies then maybe check the scan optics as well as the glass. From what I have seen this is usually the problem when t is just copies with the issue.

Also could be the developer has gone bad like previously mentioned.

Thinking the same, Going to go through developers tomorrow. Just thought it was strange that all the machines were doing it....

Well the machines are sometimes being stored and not used, or put in damp/ humid places. We get them too, and usually get light copies too.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest.
