task alfa 3051ci install waste toner container error

    Here is the problem...
    turn machine on...
machine make all the appropriate noise and then throws waste toner container not installed error

    here is the root...
the inner unit is fine... the part you pull off to get to drums
the waste toner container holder is fine...
    the problem...
the gear that site on the right
    on the housing
that peeks through the hole in the inner unit
that connects with the waste toner container holder
that lets the auger in the waste toner container spin is broken...
to be precise the plastic shaft it sits on is broken...

I have frantically searched the manual... but to no avail... still unable to find that part or even the housing...

looked through the bulletins... closest I found was was g8 on page 11 of Ref. No. 2N4-0039 (F166) technical bulletin...

and yes thats for another series... but the gear is in the same location...
    but thats the closest...

    any help is appreciated...

its the gear that sits right behind it...on a piece of plastic attached to the frame...
the part you displayed... I have ordered and have it and have inspected... and it has a connection gear that sits in the gear behind it...
and the gear behind it is broken... along with the related shaft...

This is something I have not cared for about Kyocera. Some of the smaller parts are not the easiest to find or you have to get a whole assembly to get a $5 gear.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I'm pretty sure it's 64 in this image, where the boss that is broken is where gear 62 is fitted. P/N for 64 is 302LC03160.

nope got that entire assembly... there is a hole that peeks through that assembly and the gear peeks through that hole... and the gear is attached to the frame... but sits on another piece of plastic... behind that assembly...

    thanks for looking...

    that looks like it...

Here is my question... should I just order 64 and 62 or order everything in the image... shown here...

I know the post on 64 snapped... the gear is cracked...

but do you guys think that could have caused other issues in the area... or would that just be overkill...

my thoughts is that... someone put the waste toner container in wrong... snapped the supports that hold a spring on the inner unit... near where the gear 62 sits... and then when they pushed... the spring combined with the waste toner got caught at an angle and snapped the gear... or something pretty close to it... I am thinking its just the gear and 62 and the plastic housing 64...

but 64 looks like a lot of stuff sits in it...

would it just be better to order those parts in case something else goes wrong...

gentlemen what do you think... ???
