Hi all,
I have an issue the DP is not picking up documents because the plate is not lifting, i’ve stripped the drive but cant see any reason why, the motor drives ok, occassionally it will lift & feed ok.

Seen this a few times on these models. It’s a sensor issue. Go into sensor test mode and one will be lit. Give it a wipe until it operates normally and that’s it.

I agree that it's most likely a little hook that broke of the so called 'Holder LF'. The black plastic bit that holds the pulley and belt.
Thanks for the info, I have identified the part you are referring to 'holder LF' however if this is broken how would it affect the lifter plate, seems a separate part?

Do the sensor test in service mode and look for which one it lit. I’ve had this on 2 doc feeds and a friend on one too. Literally wiped the sensor with my finger and normal operation resumes.

Exactly, it's one of those 'calls that happens once and you'll never forget about this' kind of calls that at first takes you an hour to fix. After that it's 5 minutes of 'oh this again'.
I remember having this issue the first time. Called tech support and they had me replace everything from the sensors, wiring harness, to the DP control board and nothing fixed it. Made one call to our regional tech rep about it and right off he said to replace the holder. I was so mad i spent all that time on something so simple.

Thanks for all the replies, I will order this part if I go back.
