    DF-790c issues

We moved a working DF-790 and now the problem is the machine will come to ready and the finisher is not going through any type of warm up cycles, then, when I press the start button, the machine runs for a few seconds and then shows JAM 0300 on the screen, but machine never tries to pick up paper, so there is no paper jammed in machine. If I open the front door of finisher it will clear jam code and try to run again with same results. In service mode U240, I am NOT able to activate any motors or solenoids for the finisher, but all the sensors and switches activate in U241. All Firmware is up to date. This is what I have tried so far: 1) checked ALL connections to see if any were loose 2) switched out connector harness 3) swapped out main board (303NB94012) 4) installed it on to another box with working finisher= same result

My next step is to check for 24 volt power. I noticed a board that the motors connect to (motor control pwb?) but could not find it in the service manual, I suspect that may be the cause . Does anyone have a P/N for that board? Or any input?

My guess is that the finisher was disconnected hot, blowing the copier's Main PWB. In my experience, when an accessory is completely unresponsive, it's because the circuitry on the copiers main PWB is blown.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I actually swapped finishers on the two boxes we moved, and the problem followed the finisher, so the copiers main PWB is working.

I found out what that "other" board is- its the power board for the hole punch unit. So, I will go back and test for 24 volts, tomorrow.

It turned out to be the staple compiler in Tray A was out of place? I started to test voltages and disconnecting motors, testing them, and reinstalled the motor for Tray A and the finisher started working, I ran about 400 pages through it and no issues.
