    Kyocera Scanner Pins KM-2560/3060

Does anyone have a pair of Scanner Pins to fit the KM-2560/3060?

There seems to be no p/n in the service manual Parts List.

I have a request into Kyocera support, but do not know if that will turn up anything.

    Thank You

I probably have a few around. Honestly I wouldn't bother. We transport machines 100 miles and more without the scanner locked. The only time the scanner has ever been damaged is if the copier comes loose from the side of the truck and tips over. (Don't do that.)

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It will be covered with moving blankets, top half separated from the bottom (for which I can rent a van rather than at truck). It will also be strapped (but not too tightly) to the rails U-Haul provides.

From the drawing and from what I saw on the machine no Saturday they look like partially threaded screws (probably metric) possibly 4mm?

Since the Lift Plate Stopper(s) have an actual place in each tray to be saved, they are all there.

I'd feel safer having them and using them. Send me a private message and let me know what I need to do (price and my shipping address).

    Thanks

    They'll look something like this:

    3mm threads, 39mm long shoulder

They are not intended to pull the scanner tight to the wall, just limit travel to less than a centimeter.
    I'll private message you. =^..^=

As I looked at the machine, that is what I thought. If you were to tighten them too much, it would (one) pull the plastic of the cover in, and (two) possibly distort/damage the frame of the scanner assembly.

Looking at the service manual, the Page 1-5-25, Figure 1-5-45 it appears this item is to be snapped around the scanner wire pulleys. To be used when re-stringing the scanner cables.
