I am getting this machine ready to sell. It runs great with no problems. I cannot calibrate or do toner curve without getting the message Cannott perform after the copier tries to read the printed chart. I have cleaned the optics and the copies look fine just can't do the calibrations.. Any help would be very appreciated as I want to sell a good product....
Are you laying the charts on the glass in the wrong position on the glass or rotated? The arrow goes in the back left corner, chart face down. I lay 20 sheets of white paper behind the chart to hold it down, and get a better read.
Are any of the lighter squares incomplete or missing. It 's usually 1 specific color. That will cause the calibration to fail also.
I could tell you more if you printed off the 11% ANSI A Color test charts and scanned them into this thread.

There is something it's not seeing that it needs when it's trying to scan. Check your 089 & what Blackcat said.
Make sure your print alignment and color alignment are good. I had one machine that was off on lead edge timing and wouldn't scan the charts correctly.
you might also try and do maintenance mode 425 with kyoceras calibration charts
All posts are correct, something isn't right
If your black isn’t producing good solid blacks it can’t read the alignment patches. Try colouring them in with texta. Sounds silly but it works and will get you over the line. Other things are to do with alignment of the page. Check the tray is aligned perfectly. If the printed image is not central on the page it will error. Move the chart up or down a few mm and left or right to compensate if something is out. As the other guys have said, something is not right.
I ended up changing the black drum and it started working !! I haven't figured out how to get a color ansii chart yet. Sure do appreciate all the responses !!! Thanks You !!
