Kyocera M5526 Printing half speed

I have a Kyocera M5526 All in One, Printing and Copying half speed. Normal Speed is 26 pages per minute, but this machine is no more than 15 CPM. Problem just started recently I have upgraded the firmware and checked other simulations. The machine has only 48000 prints, and I have checked others and they are running at normal speeds.

Any help would be appreciated.

Printing on media types like thick and cardstock will slow print speed. Also quiet mode will slow the speed.

Did you check the setting for quiet mode?

Geo is right, quiet mode slows down the copier.

Just for giggles, check and see if the print driver is set for "2-sided".

Envelope lever engaged?

On the 2626mfp, the spring would come off the paper feed unit & it would cause this. The machine would not go to a jam code, but kept trying to pick up paper until it was successful. Something to look for if you media is set to plain.
