    M6535cidn vertical bands

This M6535cidn has a 27257 total count and has been in the field for about a year. The firmware is up to date.

It has two bands running down the prints. The problem is intermittent but frequent.

I replaced the transfer belt assembly, it didn't fix the problem. Kyocera suggested the secondary transfer roller so I ordered one.

The bands line up with the ID sensors that read the calibration patches on the transfer belt. On of the examples you will notice those marks.

The belt isn’t cleaning the patches off and would have been my first replacement. You fitted a brand new belt?
Second thought would be charging? HVT possibly.

Yup, those are the color registration marks. Clearly they're not being cleaned off of the belt.

I think that I'd clean and re-prime the transfer belt blade, then pay attention that the powder is cleaning off of the belt. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Re: M6535cidn vertical bands

I had one of those doing the same thing. After looking at it closely, the metal roller in the primary belt is charged to pull the toner off the belt. The blade doesn’t do very much. There are 5 (if i remember correctly) springs on the front side of the inside frame, that make contact with the belt. 4 do transfer voltage for each color & 1 for cleaning. Mine was missing the cleaning spring. Make sure yours are all there and are making good contact.
    Hope that helps !

That's a great tip. I had disassembled a Hanabi primary transfer belt, and when I was re-assembling I could not figure out where that one extra spring came from. When the belt did not clean I knew it must be an electrical connection. =^..^=

    Thank you for the replies.

It was the transfer cleaning voltage terminal that was deformed not making contact with the transfer belt assembly in the fashion tmaged was describing.
