google is your friend
SOLVED: Kyocera TA4551 getting F124 every time it recovers - Fixya
You must not be a technician because google is not always your best friend. If you read that post it saids cancel energy save, I did that and it still after 5 sheets gives system error F124. I also upgraded the firmware
F12x codes are definitely in the service manual and provide six steps to correct the scan problem, not an energy saver problem. Make sure the connector from the DP to the machine is properly seated then follow the other steps. You said you upgraded the firmware, did you use the full firmware upgrade or the turbo pack? We do not use the turbo pack as any corrupted files are skipped it only compares the file name and date and if it is the same it skips over-writing it, the full firmware upgrade while taking longer will over-write any corrupted files. My guess is you either have a loose connector on the harness from the DP to the machine or that wiring harness is defective. Hope this helps.
Thank You for that information and yes I found the DP board not fully seated from moving the copier. I appreciate that advice!!
To anyone with that F124 code, please check the connection between the DP and DP Board. What would happen because the DP board was not fully seated after 5 copies it would throw this code. I press on that small DP board and sure enough it went down about 2mil.
I have also been in the industry for 30 yrs and to state google is your friend is not only a unnecessary statement but it makes the person asking the question as if they are dumb. I love the expert advice on Copytechnet but for someone thats been in the industry your answer was stupid. Your expert advice in pointing me to google but fix ya which states to turn off power save. Sometimes its better to stay silent, if you dont know instead of leading the blind to the end of the river.
Who cares about your rep power!
As I explained in a PM to you if you don't agree with a suggested solution, just ignore it! Who cares about rep power? I do, as that person has provided many good solutions to problems and while none of us have all the correct solutions, a user with a higher rep power has provided more correct solutions to problems than not. It actually pains me to have provided you with the solution to your problem and now to have you flame on someone trying to help whether correct or not is unconscionable. You were in diapers when I started in this industry, but give me a rep power of 50 versus a rep power of 0, I will take the 50 any day. Consider your self blocked by me, you do not deserve any support, you are an idiot!
