M3550idn Scanner Removal

Anyone know how to get the scanner off of the ecosys m3550idn? The manual doesn't show and I just can't seem to see how. The manual only shows how to get covers off after the scanner is removed. Thanks for any help

My manual shows how to detach the scanner unit. Remove the covers back and right side, detach the six plus connectors from the scanner to the main board, remove the two retaining screws and slide the scanner unit back. My question is what problem are you trying to solve that is requiring the removal of the scanner unit?

Hi Thanks for the response. I have to replace the laser unit. Funny my manual absolutely doesn't show that scanner removal procedure. Where are those 2 retaining screws. I figured it had to slide off somehow. The again, Paul
