Perhaps a correct chip has not been chosen or is not programmed right. Try another.
DON"T DO IT......Compatible toner has issues..
Just had one this morning. Background all over page. Cause? Junk Inovera aftermarket shit toner! Never use knockoff in a Kyo!
The machine seems to be WAD (working as designed), that message is telling you that aftermarket toner is installed so if you want to get rid of the message put a Kyocera toner in the machine. Whatever you're doing with a "toner chip" is a waste of time and any savings your seeing by putting aftermarket toner in a Kyocera will be gone halfway through your second or third toner cartridge when you'll be forced to replace your developing unit and possibly a drum. BTW, the use of the aftermarket toner is saved in the machine and indicated on the status pages so the developing unit you'll be replacing no longer has warranty coverage.
I've been working on Mita and Kyocera equipment since sometime in the last Century and they don't like aftermarket toner. Other manufactures generally have shorter life drums that end up getting replaced before shitty toner has a chance to kills them.
Happy Friday.

"since sometime in the last Century"...Why did you have to word it that way...Now not only do I feel old, I am depressed...
Have a great weekend everybody...
BUT.. we ARE getting older! Our advantage ( being old farts ) we are able to THINK and ANALYZE the problem...
the people coming into the industry today, can only "go by the book", they never studied the THEORY for the different sections of the machine. And they seldom want to take advise that "doesn't fit the book".
NP I will take it to the grave...their loss.
