    TA 4550ci Smearing on rear of 1 sided copy

    TA Smearing on rear side of 1 sided copy. (Pic attached) I did the toner curve adjustment which has solved this problem in the past but no resolution. Any help would be very appreciated !!

    Yes, 2nd transfer belt. Cleaning seems to help short term, but there are no separate parts of that unit, so just order the assy. =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Yes, replace the transfer belt assy. That's common on just about any color copier, but I've never seen one that bad unless it's been doing it for awhile.
