Could someone please enlighten me, as to this machine detects the developer unit?

I have machine saying "Install Developer Unit".

If the info is in service manual it is well hidden.

It will also give you this message when it is out of toner.

[are you using original toner?
design is not the same of toner cartridge and this will give the problem.

pls feedback.

Not 100% on the outcome of this one..... I will check into.

I do believe it is generic toner.

We've had it happen with OEM & Katun toner, both. It's always just been out of toner.
