Question Taskalfa 300ci command center not loading and other strange things

    Hello,

I‘ve a strange behavior with my newly acquired used taskalfa 300ci.
The 300ci receive its IP address by dhcp which is working fine.
i can ping it fine by no access with the usual browsers to port 80 or 442
Also a Telnet check on those ports fails.
I‘m able to print to it using wsd protocol but not raw or lpd.
Also the Kyocera iOS app can discover the printer via bonjour or ws-discover but fails
    when try loading the configuration.
i checked all protocols are switched on snmp, http, https, raw, lpd, etc.
The security Settings are on low.
when printing the network status page I still see the DNS entries from the former owner apperently they are not being updated via dhcp.
Any ideas what else it can be?
i‘m hesitant to do u021 since I‘m just an „educated“ user and no expert.
i already owned a 300ci but replaced it with this one since I bought a new set of toners when shortly after the transfer belt had issues.
i was also able to move the fax kit from the old one to the new one just fine and it works (sending) as far as I can tell.

You should do U021 to reset previous settings. Print the event log with U000 first, since it will wipe it. You can move the fax card, but you also need to move the fax memory from main pwb, since it will code out without it. Enter fixed network settings manually, reset the device, and see if it works. These oldies don't support bonjour, so don't bother. Just download driver for IOS and install. For Windows, get KX driver only.

300ci is the most problem child we ever sold. we replaced all but a couple.
My advice is to push it out the door and replace with the newer models.
    good luck.

I think I would connect my laptop directly via crossover cable, to completely remove your network as a potential cause. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Sorry for the late reply
The issue was an active IPv4 Filter, which allowed only one IP-Address to connect to the 300ci.
Even prior to my initial post I try recreating the old network range to connect to it that way with no luck.
i ended up using IPv6 where no IP Filter was configured and was able to connect to the 300ci this way and could perform all necessary changes.
    Now all is working.

We have one of those. The ethernet quit on it's own and other little things. Upgraded the firmware and it restored everything. working ok now. Might try that,.
