I have a Kyocera KM-4050 the the touch screen keeps losing its calibration usually 2 or three times a day.

There is ... and don't bother. You'll need to replace the touchscreen and foams, the calibrate the screen just once. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

They weren't tagged in any way that I recognized. It was during the same time when Konicas and Kyoceras all had rashes of bad screens. I'm sure they all came from the same source. Hans was repairing them for a while ... do you know a manufacturer of the touch screens Hans?

It was the conductive adhesive that was the problem. The end of the ribbon cable would change color ... I can't remember how ... but you could tell immediately that it was poorly attached. If you pressed down hard on the connection point it would work for a little while, but not long enough to go to the trouble to remove it for that. =^..^=

    From the database:
Touch panel is unresponsive or registers ~1" to the left or right of the button. Copies OK. Poor connection between tablet and ribbon cable. Tape turns visibly yellow, as an indication. Replace tablet (302GR45051), foam x2 (2BJ25280), and foam x2 (302GR05310). Run simulation U201 to initialize the touchscreen. Touch each crosshair at the three positions, Start.

    Re: Kyocera KM-4050 screen calibration

Back when we were experiencing these failures frequently, I researched and ordered the Z-axis conductive tape that connects the ribbon cable to the edge of the glass. It needed to be heated and removed, contacts cleaned and new tape applied and then the ribbon re-mounted. All in all it could be done in about 10-15 minutes. We did dozens of these repairs and they lasted until retirement of the machines.
Z-axis tape only conducts vertically. not in X - Y axis. it has multiple uses.
3M 9703 Z-axis tape. For anyone who breadboards, it's a good temp way to experiment with SMT IC's.
