    Kyocera Ecopysys 6525mpf enable color

    I got three Kyocera 6526mfp and cant figureout how to enable color. If you make copies or print in color, everything comes out black and white. I have check everything and cant figure it out I think the previous owners lock their employees from printing or copying in color. I have cleared memory and format SD Card and still did not change anything.

    Kyocera Ecopysys 6525mpf enable color

    If you meant FS-6525mfp, It’s a monochrome only machine. Can scan colour but black and white print.

    Ok, I’m guessing M6526cdn, A4 colour multifunction? There is no FS-6526mfp.

    Re: Kyocera Ecopysys 6525mpf enable color

    I got the configuration in my hand, It is a Ecosys M6526cidn. It shows color toners at 70 percent on the status page but the color some kind of way is disable. I have looked in the driver, Net viewer, 10871087 menu. What am I missing here? I called Kyocera and they claim they never heard of disabling color on this machine besides if Job accounting is on but this one is not.

    Does the status page show colour print usage? Is that status page printed in colour? I also have not heard of any way of disabling colour use on these apart from thru pin codes.
    What does the firmware show? Perhaps it’s custom? Have you re done firmware?

    Maybe worth a shot, I remember the ta250 ci series used to lock you out of colour, try turning printer off, take all toners out, switch back on and then install the black toner , close cover and then install remaining toners one at a time closing the toner cover each time. It’s worth a try.

    Function defaults > Color Selection (Copy) > Value: Auto Color, Full Color, Black & White - set to auto color or full color.

    Try this prescribe command.

    Code:
    !R! FRPO W1, 1; EXIT;
    However, I do find it odd that you can see the color toner levels on the status page. The only way you can see the color bar fill is if it's printed in color. If internal reports are printed in color and external prints/copies are B/W, then your problem is a matter of function defaults and print driver functionality. Try printing from a USB?
