    Copystar CS 2552CI /ADF ISSUE

    Hi
THe Adf feed tires would come down the way they should, but they were not rotating,It would
feed fine and then out of the blue the motor that rotates the feed and drive part of the adf
would stop for no apparent reason,It might run fine for 20 copies,50 copies and even more, and then stop.NOW
it has stopped turning all the time. The feed tires come down, but no rotation.I put a new ADF
board in to see if that is the problem, and I now get an ERROR C9060.
The Adf is a 7100 and I replace with 2 new boards and the both give me the C9060 Error,
If I put the old board back it has the original problem but NO C9060 Error
Sorry for the confusion, But if anyone can hellp..
    THANKS ANDY

You must update firmware when you replace a board, any board. The manufacturer is continually updating firmware, and if your DF firmware (probably current since its a new board) may very well be incompatible with the old machine firmware on the MFP.

Install one of your new boards, update firmware. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Copystar CS 2552CI /ADF ISSUE

I have had a similar issue with a small MFP where the feed roller would not turn. It turned out to be the sensor that is on the reading guide. It tells the machine that the DP is completely down against the glass. I also had one that the sensor was out of place on one of the copiers and it caused the original size to go to 11x17 no matter what size original you used when the feeder closed all the way. It sounds like you could have an issue with this sensor. If you remove the reading guide from the bottom of the feeder, you will see the actuator on the reading guide and the sensor right above the reading guide.

Only issues I’ve had like this have been with the guide lift breaking. Part number 303R707020

This has been replaced by an updated item that has metal ends
    New part 303R707021

It's an EEPROM code... Did you move the EEPROM to the new board?

    Hi
I did see that code referred to a EEPROM.Non of the 3 boards had an EEPROM ON IT(TWO NEW AND ONE OLD)
Does that seem possible?I saw one slot for EEPROM but it was empty on all 3 boards.
    Thanks Andy

Re: Copystar CS 2552CI /ADF ISSUE

I did lose an EEPROM when replacing a finisher board (My fault). The machine, however, worked with intermittent "EEPROM backup" c-codes that were re-settable. I ordered a blank EEPROM and it fixed the problem.
