    M3540idn with a u01193 error

I have a customer with a M3540 that disconnects and gives a U01193. Yes I have set all the sims set for voip 2 kyocera's and they disconnect on send and recieve.
Thier phone guy says he tested the phone line with another fax and it worked. That being said anyone know of any better settings for the kyocera fax boards?

perhaps you can try to limit the fax speed by disabling 33'600 in the setup menu? u01193 is a G3 fax receive error(the highest speed), where the voip codec might be causing errors with the connection due to any sort of processing or jitter in the back-end transport.

    Thanks craigster, that's handy. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Make sure it's using a 2 wire line. Since you've set all the VOIP settings, I'd make sure they are using a fax codec, if you can find soneone intelligent enough to verify it. The voip settings work for all types of lines to dumb the machine down.
The hotline will tell you any time you get an error after a connection, it's a line issue.
    Hope that helps !

Yes, thats exactly what I got from the hotline. I spoke to the IT person who manages the Cisco foip and sent them a trouble shooting guide for their appliance. (they should have been able to look it up, I googled it) Haven't heard back from them yet.I will post if I get a answer. Thanks for the replies!
