Remote Email Diagnostics, Kyocera settings.
Does Kyocera have the same functionality as Sharp concerning the Remote Email Diagnostic function? Specifically, on Sharp you can send an email to the machine with a code in the subject line and the printer will respond with a status report, etc...
I've setup all of our printer/copiers using the /scvmntrpt page. The machines send us periodic service status pages via SMTP. And have also setup the printers to send Jam/Toner alerts from the Command Center. It's nice that I get a notification that a jam is happening. But almost useless because I cannot see the jam code. If I setup POP in the /scvmntrpt page would I be able to send an email with an appropriate PRESCRIBE command, wherein the machine would send me a service status report on command.
Any education on how the /svcmntrpt function works is welcome. As well as any other tricks or tips on Kyocera products.

No. I have tried to convince the owner to switch to the this. But the owner is distrusting of KFS and any managed service, Customer Information theft etc. Apparently this happened with HP a number of years ago.
Would love to utilize it though.

I wish I knew why these machines would not email the service code along with the news that it is jammed??
