    Question km-4530

I have a machine that when you run about 10 copies 2or3 will have a light
to blank line on them.It looks like the belts are stalling but i have change
those out twice and i change the hold transfer section too.I change the
paper loop timing and it has seem to help but any suggesting would be
    helpfull. Thanks steve

Which way do the blank/light lines run (lead to trail or side to side) if it is side to side, how does the lead and trail edge registration look on the copies with the problem?

    What "belts" did you replace?

does the paper seem creased at all, this is a common problem on Sharps when the clutches get dirty the paper buckles.

No it isn't creased but when you watch it come off the drum and it heads
to the conveying belts it looks like it noses dive into the belts and
that little bit causes the issue but as said before it doesn't do it ever copy.

Replace the corona housings or preferably the whole unit. Poor seperation will cause the paper to stick on the drum slightly longer and cause the 'nose dive'.

Take a look at the mag brush on the developer housing. If you see fine lines you will need to carefully remove the trimmer bar and possibly the mag roller for cleaning. Be careful to reinstall the mag roller end bearings with the detent of the semicircle facing the drum above or expensive ruin of the drum could occur

Depending on the copies your machine has done - i would check the drive unit clutches. I had one do a similar thing (1million copies) every few copies a white line would appear. I stripped out the drive unit and stripped and flushed out the clutches as they all had heavy brown dust in them. It did cure my problem as the drive unit had never been touched because these are pretty solid machines.
