They have got a digital converter.
don't know what make or brand it is.
They had a Gestetner dsm618 working on the exact same voip line.
All we did was upgrade the Gestetner to a new KM-2050
(as we are now Kyocera dealers)
I am not getting the KM-2050 to work on that voip line!
Now what I'm forced to do is give them a small second hand Gestetner F9103 (hopefully it will work like the dms618)
The Gestetner dsm618 that they were using was moved to another location on a farm near Warmbaths about 200km away.

The fax settings just need to be adjusted, im sure of it. There is no reason why it would not work. Our machines can work on F/VOIP, but its not a given solution by any copier company that i know of, as faxing remains analog.

I don't know what to try anymore, I leaving the office in 10min on my way with the loan unit.
If you want to go through the settings again and suggest any changes, I'll give it a try.
I think you are very lucky to have got it working!
Or It's me that has bad luck!!!
I'll let you know if the Gestetner F9103 works or not. hope it well.

yip. The Gestetner F9103 works perfect!!!
walked in with it, plugged in - no settings, except country code.
Sent a fax and it worked!
Just for safty sake I switched of ECM.
sent and recieved a few faxes, including a 30 page document... all fine!

I don't know why the KM-2050 is not working???
I have been told that Kyocera does not support voip at all by a few people.

Maybe Kyocera should write some new fax firmware for voip/foip

    Any ideas???

VERY VERY WIERD!! When i go back to work next year, i will go have a look at one of my clients with a KM2050 and KM2550 and retrieve the settings off there.

Maybe there is something wrong with the fax system?
