when the customer printing more prints in atime the machine will give a colour background copy.

Does this machine have the new style developing units? The little white plastic spacers installed at each end of the mag roller will crack and cause problems on the old style developing units.

CB is right (strange for an IT guy. They're never right.).

It's usually the developing units on Voyagers, new style or otherwise. You cannot purchase developer starter separately, units only.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

And yes, they updated the firmware in May 2009. Should be 35 on main and 31 on engine. Firmware should also take care of some CQ issues. How many copies are on the machine? Is it near a PM?

We have a lot of problems with color streaks on this machine. We have found that the cleaning units in the drum are poor. When everyting else is up to date we have just removed the drums from the units and vacuumed out the toner built up at the blade. This solves the problem for quite a while.

New setting rages are implemented in U325 Setting the distance between pages
to increase the distance by print coverage as measures against background
image in the high coverage print and half speed mode. The distance between
pages increases for the high coverage print with 5 ranks. Higher rank increases

    2 Crease on A3 size
    paper at fixing section
Crease may occur at the fixing section when printing several to some tens
pages of continuous A3 size thin paper just after the machine’s start-up that
includes the one after the sleep mode.
    [Change for measures]
The fixing motor speed is readjusted if the thermistor senses temperature of the
press roller below 140 degree C. Conventionally it is adjusted so that the fixing
rollers more pull in the paper and it is corrected.

    3 System error 640
The IPU board senses an error and documents are not correctly deleted if
refresh signal input for AE density is input in an irregular timing when saving
documents in HDD. This is corrected for the system error 640 that is detected at
the above case that may occur in high volume memory printing using HDD.

10 JAM31 JAM31 that is detected if the leading edge of paper is caught by the primary
